Gray began another level of personal spiritual growth and elevation by accepting the calling into the preaching ministry at the Bethel Baptist Church at the age of twenty-one years old. It was after this that God took the boy John Gray and began to mold the man.
After touring the world for three years, Gray felt the call of God to another aspect of ministry, this time as a Youth Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey. Gray also served as Coordinator of Youth Ministries at The Cathedral International Church in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
John’s heart has always been turned towards the development of young people, so it is no wonder that God has seen fit to send John all over the world to speak and encourage kids to live for Christ and to fulfill their purpose through service to others. Touring with Grammy-Award winners dc talk, Gray promoted racial reconciliation across the country in an effort to destroy the barriers that exist between black and white Christians.
In 2001, God allowed John to begin working on his own vision, MannaGod Enterprises, Inc. MannaGod was originally established to empower men to become better husbands and fathers and serve as an online resource for young men to stay connected. It quickly turned into much more, encompassing a national following of men and women that has been blessed by John’s weekly writings called Daily Manna.
Dear Pastor Gray ,
From the beginning God knew I would walk in my purpose and diligently seek “You” the body of Christ extensively and persistently in “His Honor” and to “His Glory.”
In “His name” I seek y you. By the force of love I cry out to you, against all odds I am asking and beseeching you to unite together as one to exalt and to “GIVE GOD” and again I shout! “GIVE GOD” something Exceedingly great and Eternal in the earth that has never been done before.
I have sought and sought men and women of God persistently and faithfully for several years through many letters, emails and visits to church after church.
As I continually seek to do this great work in the Lord, the doors of the church are yet to open and answer this call.
I am truly thankful and ever rejoicing that my knocks are not in vain and are heard by God, every single one.
Regardless to continual judgments, denial, delays and rejection, it will not stop me.
I will keep my eyes on “HIM,” for it is God who worketh in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure!
If satan can do in this whole world every evil and wicked thing he has done. I shall and I will, “AMEN” I Will do this for my LORD!
What God has poured into my Spirit is awaiting “For US” His church to pour out into the world.
Just as Noah built the ark, I have obeyed God’s voice and done my part.

I saw you at the Acquire the Fire in Billings Montana, rememer all the snow and extremely cold temperatures? haha. i want to say thank you, it was the second day, after lunch i think. when you got up on stage after The School of Worship, and you began to sing With Everything. You encouraged us to open our hearts to God. You said this was the moment that most of us were waiting for. I’ve always been a christain, i was born into a christian family and have always loved God. but i’ve always felt like there was something missing, like i wasnt entirely “conected” with God. i had tried everything. reading my bible every night, talking to my youth pastor, talking with fellow christain friends, but i still didnt feel complete. Right now my family is going through a difficult time, and i was beginning to become depressed. In this state i felt farther away from God than i’ve ever felt. But while you were speaking to us and singing With Everything, i was overcome by God’s amazing power, and for the first time i felt complete. I felt God’s presence and i still do. i now know that God is always going to be with me, that i have a purpose. I thank you so much for helping me, and i’m really looking forward to next year’s acquire the fire.

I saw you on PTL the week of Nov 5th on TBN. You were introduced as a comedian. I thought “I need a good Laugh”. I waited. You started out with a few jokes. Then you started talking about the “Tree People”. Batting your eyes you began saying “I feel the Holy Ghost”. Suddenly the room was filled with God… The anointing was everywhere. The local audience erupted in worship. You are anointed to preach. PREACH.

John, my husband and I were truly blessed to experience your comedy at “The Mount” in Chesapeake VA on Friday, February 11, 2011. What a wonderful Valentine’s Day treat! Hi John. I am a longtime fan who hadn’t seen much of you until a few days ago when I (by accident) saw you on the Monique show. I say by accident because that show is not one that I am fond of. You were a delightful surprise for me and I wish you could have seen the smile that lit up my face when I heard that God has blessed you with a WIFE. How awesome!!!! I have teenaged grandchildren who could use a role-model such as yourself.
